I’m Tyler Dillon, a Commercial Pilot, Certified Flight Instructor, and founder of Tyler Dillon Aviation, based in St. Pete, Florida. I’ve worked across general aviation in a variety of roles for over five years— as a detailer, line service technician, instructor pilot, contract/corporate pilot, and aircraft manager.

My aviation path began with aircraft detailing, which led to launching my first company, JTD Aero LLC. Since then, I’ve flown regularly in more than 50 makes and models of piston aircraft, along with several turboprops. I’m also deeply involved in avionics and aircraft modifications that improve safety, performance, and efficiency.

After earning my commercial certificate, I spent time on the FBO side of aviation as a Line Service Technician. That experience gave me a fuller perspective on aircraft handling, fueling, and customer service—helping me better understand the industry as a whole.

I hold a B.A. in Psychology from the University of South Florida, which plays into my people-first approach to business and leadership. I co-own a small family flight school and operate two aircraft personally, giving me firsthand insight into the day-to-day responsibilities of aircraft ownership.
